
The User Interface is intuitive for quick and easy use by the operator starting with patient entry to scan and display including image manipulation, filming, archive, and DICOM transfer. Complete the Patient Entry screen – in just four keystrokes a selected predefined protocol acquires all the prescribed pulse sequences automatically. The system features a Protocol Editor for personal customization of pulse sequences which can be saved on the disk as well as E-mailed for sharing with colleagues.
1. Patient Entry – To enter Patient Information on the Exam tab, click on Patient Entry to display the Patient Entry screen. Enter new patient information in the Patient Information section of the screen. The minimum mandatory information is Patient ID and Weight.
2. Scan Setup – The Scan Setup Screen follows after the completion of the Patient Entry Screen. This screen consists of an image display area for graphical slice location, an anatomy selection area, a protocol list, a sequence list, and an imaging option area.
3. Choosing the Anatomy – Select the anatomy to be imaged by clicking on the corresponding part of the human figure, or by choosing it from the pull-down list. Valid areas to select are left/right Elbow, Arm, Wrist, Hand, Knee, Leg, Ankle, and Foot. Upon selection of the anatomy, the patient chair is displayed and the protocols related to the selected anatomy appear in the protocol list.
4. Selecting the Imaging Protocol – Select a protocol from the list and click on the name of the desired protocol. The imaging sequences corresponding to the selected protocol are displayed in the imaging sequence list in the order in which it is to be executed. Press Begin Protocol to scan patient.
