ORFIT is an efficient high precision thermoplastic patient fixation system for radiotherapy treatment. The hardware components are available in low density high pressure head and neck base plate, head base plate and pelvic base plate. The system consists of base plates, head support components, wedges and blocks. Available in rigid PE or PU, the head supports are made of rigid polyethylene which guarantees perfectly reproducable positioning. The use of a single layer carbon fibre laminate allows for a minimum skin dose. The sandwich construction results in a high mechanical performance of the base plates. Typical skin dose 2mm H2 O equivalent (+/- 0.1mm). The base plates can be interfaced with the patented Orfit Loxon table fixation system assuring a firm attachment of the base plate to the treatment table.
