ONI Medical Systems Inc. was founded in 1997 and launched the OrthOne® in 2002. There are now in the region of eighty systems installed in the USA with four in Europe, following the recent CE marking.

The OrthOne® is the only compact, high field, open extremity MRI system available to the worldwide medical marketplace today. It provides a quiet, comfortable, non-claustrophobic experience for patients requiring high quality, high-speed extremity MRI procedures of the upper and lower limbs.

Vertec expects that the system will generate significant interest in the UK as it offers a low cost alternative to full body MRI systems, potentially reducing full body MRI workloads and patient waiting times.
