Instant Vertebral Assessment (IVA)

It enables clinicians to perform a rapid, low-dose evaluation of vertebrae in a single office visit, during a routine boneImageImage density exam. The high resolution, single energy images obtained with IVA visually reveal existing vertebral deformities, which substantially increase the risk of future fracture and thereby affect theraputic decisions. With IVA, a single high resolution image of the entire lateral spine (L4 - T4) can be produced in just 10 seconds and with less than 1% of the dose of standard lateral spine films. The resulting image can be printed on a high quality medical imaging printer to transparency or medical paper or viewed, either on the system console, through a DICOM viewing station, or remotely via a standalone view/print ultility (VPU)

Electronic analysis and reporting

IVA results can be interpreted using hard- or soft-copy images. For remote interpretation, the Physician's Viewer software allows for soft-copy viewing of IVA and BMD results from any computer linked to the workstation by LAN, WAN, DSL, or any other high-speed network connection. This software also provides interactive tools to grade and label vertebral deformities. Optional report writting software automatically downloads BMD and IVA results into a summary and interpreting report in a Word format.
