Biplanar 500
The Biplanar 500 - the next generation of efficiency and performance
- developed to meet the increasingly demanding needs of the health
care sector. A system which gives total control of your surgery. With
Biplanar 500 - The only mobile biplane digital fluoroscopy system
- Swemac Imaging redefines state-of-the-art in the area of fracture
surgery.
Biplanar 500 meets the highest clinical demands in the orthopaedic
surgery environment, allowing full access to the operating area with
total control at each step. The symmetrical G-stand, comprising two
perpendicular imaging systems, provides both frontal and lateral projections
with fixed settings. Alternating between the planes is simply done
by a triple function foot switch and the images are displayed on high-resolution
LCD monitors. Fixed position of the stand during an operation means
superior accuracy, reduced time for readjustments, less radiation
and increased sterility due to easy draping.
The main application area for Biplanar 500 is fracture surgery. This
fully mobile system is also ideal for a variety of applications where
positioning accuracy and ease of use is essential - neurosurgery,
implantation of pacemakers, percutaneous lumbar disectomy, bronchoscopy,
foreign body location, just to mention a few. Features:
- Guide Lines: Possibility to place guide lines on the monitors
will facilitate drilling and nailing of fractures.
- Optimized exposure parameters: By choosing Bone or Soft tissue
programme you optimize the exposure parameters.
- Alternating Mode: The Biplanar alternates continuously and
automatically between AP and Lateral view.
- Pulse Mode: Short exposures are obtained from chosen view.
- Variable SID: Large working space due to variable SID (source
image distance).
- Asymmetrical semitrtansparent collimators: Less radiation
- efficient presetting of asymmetrical collimators and reduced operating
time.
- ER Mode: Electronic radiography (Snap Shot) gives optimal
image quality.
- Application and Positioning Guide: Online application and
positioning guide.
