Some Frequently Asked Questions

The SMART-C has a 15x15cm detector which is actually 25% larger than several other leading models. The SMART-C also has a limited field mode.

Not necessarily. Because the system is wireless, we are able to offer a sterile drape that completely encases it. This allows the SMART-C to simply be placed into the sterile field. In hand surgery for example, you could just place the system on your standard hand board. For other surgical applications, the high quality, fully counterbalanced stands offer maximum flexibility.

The SMART-C is actually able to operate at a higher tube current (0.37mA) than a number of other systems, which typically have a maximum current of around 0.10-0.15mA. The tube voltage operates between 40 & 80kV. This coupled with the high quality CMOS detector ensures exceptional image quality.

Yes absolutely, there is the option to purchase a transport case which can be moved around like a wheeled suitcase enabling the system to be safely and easily moved using existing inter-hospital transport. You can also purchase additional positioning carts to keep on each site. If utilisation increases, you can purchase another unit without a cart.
