Established in 2010, Cyrpa is a wholly owned subsidiary of C-Rad AB. Based in Brussels and Roissy, the company develops non-invasive lasers used for patient-positioning in radiotherapy which makes the Cyrpa laser systems a great addition to C-RAD’s cutting edge solutions in radiotherapy. The laser systems are currently distributed all around the world. More than 400 laser positioning systems have been installed in Europe, Asia, America and Africa.
Precise patient positioning is essential for a successful radiotherapy treatment. Lasers in accelerator and scanner rooms are necessary tools for the alignment of the patients relative to the isocentre of the machine. Cyrpa’s product range consists of lasers for the virtual simulation and for the treatment room. For the motorized and moving lasers, Cyrpa offers a unique feature, the double diode technology for better adaptation to each patient. Cyrpa HIT laser systems also includes a range of alignment and calibration phantoms; the StaticPhantom, the SmartPhantom CT and the SmartPhantom RT. These Phantoms allow an automatic calibration of the lasers, with the best accuracy (+/-0,1mm) in the market.
Their R&D team constantly develops new products in order to meet customers’ needs. The HIT system optimises the time spent treating patients. Not only does it provide patient-oriented solutions, but it also increases convenience for the practitioner operating the laser equipment, making it a safe solution for the practitioner and the patient. Moreover, the Cyrpa lasers are a perfect complement to Catalyst, the Sigrt solution from C-RAD which also provides a high level of safety and comfort.
